About the city
A San Andreas that remembers what you did
Shadow runs on a framework we wrote ourselves, so the state works the way it should, from downtown Los Santos to Paleto Bay. Money is earned, property is owned, injuries take time to heal and crimes leave evidence. Police, medics and judges are players, and so are the shop owners, mechanics and gangs you'll deal with every day.
We care about story over stats. That means value of life, believable characters and scenes that play out over weeks. Staff are here to keep it fair, not to get in the way.

How to connect
Your first day
What to expect
Before you connect
Join the Discord, read the rules, and keep the Discord desktop app open while you play so your accounts link. Test your microphone and push-to-talk.
Create your character
Pick a believable name (no celebrities, no jokes) and an age and background that fit the story you want to tell. You can have more than one character later.
Your first hour
You start with a little cash and a phone. Get your ID at City Hall, open a bank account, and pick up a starter job from the job centre. Ask locals for directions in character.
Grow your story
Make connections, save for a car and a place to live, and decide what your character wants. Departments and businesses hire through in-city applications.
Before you connect
What you need
- A legal copy of Grand Theft Auto V for PC and the FiveM client
- A Discord account in our server, with the Discord app running while you play
- A working microphone; text-only roleplay is not allowed in the city
- To meet our minimum age and to have read the rules
